Home Sweet Home Records was founded in 1981 in Nashville, Tennessee, and is currently located in Dallas, Texas. Since that time it has released over 80 projects, including many number one records, garnered over 30 "Top Ten" singles nationally and sold in excess of one million total units.

Home Sweet Home enjoyed many hits in the 80's by such acts as White Heart (with Steve Green and Dann Huff), Steve Archer, Marilyn McCoo, B.J. Thomas, Michael James Murphy, Mark Heard, Luke Garrett, and Dan Peek.

Through the 80's, Home Sweet Home continually had songs in the top ten charts and is one of the most successful privately owned independent Christian labels.
